I had always wanted to learn the piano but thought I'd left it too late now in my early sixties and with acquired learning difficulties after several strokes. I accepted in advance I wouldn't get past lesson three! I am now halfway through my second course and booked for a third. I have undertaken one to one lessons with the very talented and supremely patient Jack Marshall. Currently, I'm halfway through a comprehensive group course, lead by the inspiring Tom Donald, who somehow does magic and makes even the hard bits fun. I love the enthusiastic and easy-going atmosphere that threads throughout the school.

This is a world class piano school. I live in Melbourne and it's fabulous to be able to have online lessons with amazing coaches in London. I wanted to improve my piano playing skills and Tom and Siwan have helped me to do this. I haven't just met my goals, I've exceeded them in a short space of time. My technique has improved immensely and I've acquired new skills such as improvisation and playing from lead sheets. The team are so friendly and encouraging and it's a pleasure to work with them.

I feel like an imposter who has been welcomed into the magic inner circle of music. I’m learning new tricks, being introduced to new genres, and discovering music all over again. I’m also surprised to enjoy improving my technical understanding and skills which can often be a bit dull. This is almost certainly as a result of the passion and calibre of each unique contributor and member of Tom’s faculty at LCSP.

The classes were truly remarkable. Travelling in and out of London posed a great challenge to my musical progress but with the amazing staff and teachers, I managed to keep up my learning. All the teachers there are kind and friendly, mixing together both styles of education and offering a wide variety and expertise in various styles of music. I highly recommend these courses and teachings for anyone at any level of learning, anywhere in the world. 🙂

Tom is an absolute legend. Teaches a very different methodology to other people I have been in class with.
Not only a fantastic teacher, really nice man and his method is a class act in teaching and expressing a lot more than purely reading music.

The school's approach to learning suits me perfectly because I don't want to "learn by rote", and I am being challenged to think way beyond which note to hit! I can see my development and my confidence building every week, and the additional seminars and other resources keep me constantly inspired. Brilliant!

Tom is a superb teacher with a rather unique approach. He has introduced me to the world of jazz and improvisation without making it overly complex or daunting, and always with amazing energy and charisma.
