Yuliya's Bio...
Yuliya earned her Bachelor of Music at the Latvian Academy of Music and studied piano, musicology, and composition at a music school in her hometown of Liepaja. In the UK, she completed a postgraduate degree in Information Studies at UCL (University College London). Combining her expertise in both music and information science, Yuliya plays a pivotal role in LCSP’s research and development in piano pedagogy and metadata, directly supporting the school’s global YouTube operations. Her market research capabilities enable LCSP to address critical challenges in modern piano education, as she interprets extensive online data from students worldwide, revealing trends and insights into contemporary learning needs. This unique blend of disciplines helps LCSP refine its coaching models, ensuring relevance in 21st-century music education.
As a pianist, Yuliya frequently collaborates with members of our piano community on duets and ensemble performances, including directing 8-hand arrangements for two pianos. Beyond her musical and administrative roles at the London Contemporary School of Piano, Yuliya also curates a series of private dance masterclasses throughout London held at the prestigious Sylvia Young Academy focusing on Latin and contemporary dance for both students and enthusiasts.
